Why it is backed twice
The clinic warranty and the manufacturer warranty are given together and run independently of one another. The manufacturer's cover on an implant system does not depend on this clinic still being here in fifteen years' time — which is the question people are really asking when they ask about warranties on treatment abroad.
The annual check-up
One check-up a year is a condition of the warranty, not a recommendation. It is written here rather than buried in an appendix because finding it out afterwards is how people lose cover they thought they had.
It has to be done in person. A dentist needs to examine the work in your mouth; photographs and a video call are not a substitute, however useful they are for everything else. Talk to your coordinator about how to arrange yours before you fly home — it is the first thing to sort out while you are still with us.
If something goes wrong
Message your coordinator, or the clinic on WhatsApp, with photographs. That is the fastest route to an answer, and it is the same number you had throughout your treatment. Aftercare does not end at the airport.
